Couplings: Cause or Symptom of Machinery Train Problems?

Please come and welcome our February speaker Leslie Murphey, with KOP-FLEX

Coupling failures are usually a symptom of a problem elsewhere in the machine train, but they can occasionally be a cause. This presentation takes a look at several factors, including proper coupling selection for the application, hub to shaft fits, and the effects of balance and installation practices.

Leslie Murphey

Leslie Murphey has been the Coupling Specialist for the Southwest area for Kop-Flex, a division of Emerson, since 2000. She began in the industry in 1980 and has spent 27 of the last 29 years working directly for a coupling manufacturer, including Rexnord (Thomas couplings) and Flexibox (Metastream couplings), as well as working for a pump and power transmission distributor.

Please thank our Social Sponsor Leslie Murphey from KOP-FLEX
