Abstract: Rotating Equipment
Condition Monitoring Program
Rotating equipment condition based
monitoring (CBM) is recognized as the premier maintenance strategy in industry today.
Although reactive (run-to-failure) and periodic (preventative) maintenance techniques
still have a place, conditioned based maintenance efforts utilizing vibration, lubrication,
and alignment technologies are becoming the industry standard. This presentation
details what it takes to have a CBM program and gives insight how it may tailored
to your company’s equipment needs and staffing level. The goal of the presentation
is to inspire the non-CBM company to start a program with in-house or contract personnel
and improve the already existing CBM program.
